«Last Meeting of the EU co-funded SUSTAINS partners, in which the 5th YPE and e-Trikala SA from Trikala Municipality participate from Greece».

On Tuesday 16 September 2014 took place in Treviso, Italy, the final meeting of the partners of SUSTAINS project (www.sustainsproject.eu). The pilot program aims to provide remote services through Electronic Health Records (EHR) from users-patients, and in Greece is co-financed by the EU and the Greek Ministry of Health.

Greece participates through the Municipal Development SA – “e-Trikala SA” of the Municipality of Trikala and the 5th Health Region of Thessaly and Central Greece (5th YPE).

The project is expected to formally end by the end of 2014 and concerns the provision of remote access to electronic health services to volunteers, members of the KAPI centers (Open Centers for Elderly Protection) and other social solidarity structures of Trikala Municipality, including volunteer patients from outpatient clinics of the General Hospital of Karditsa of the 5th YPE. Moreover, two focus groups have been arranged to take place in Larissa and Karditsa within October 2014, where people already having used the EHR will evaluate the offered services.

During the meeting the final activities for all partners were discussed and planned. The final review will take place during February 2015 by the authorized institutions of Brussels. Mr Athanasios Ballis, Computer Engineer of e-Trikala SA, represented both Greek partners.
