ISISEMD 4th assembly meeting/workshop, in Trikala. By spring, the expansion of the Telecare program for servicing amentia patients, by spring 2010.
The Municipality of Trikala, continually upgrades its e-health services, with the use of new technologies and by presenting another innovative project, with respect to patients suffering from amentia.
In the fields of Trikala participation in the European e-health program ISISEMD (Intelligent System for independent living and self –care of seniors with cognitive problems οr mild dementia), the project’s presentation took place on the 2nd and 3rd of February 2010, in Trikala, at the Mill of Matsopoulos. Present were at about 20 European delegates.
The project deals with the creation of “smart” houses, equipped with special sensors, which will be connected with the e-health center. These sensors will operate as alerts in cases of emergency at the patience’s house, such as forgotten switches on, patience’s disorientation, open doors, disability or weakness in performing an action, etc.
